MEET THE EXECUTIVE TEAM

Kate Finch, President

Kate has been involved with the P&C since 2020, when she had her first stint as Treasurer, and was appointed P&C President in 2025. She has one boy at SIPS – Harvey in Year 5 and her eldest Oliver recently graduated to high school. Kate got involved in the P&C to stay connected to what’s happening at school and to contribute in a hands-on, meaningful way that directly supports her kids.

Kristen Hodges, Secretary

Kristen was appointed as secretary in 2025 following a term as Vice President in 2024. She and has been an active volunteer within the school community since 2022 when she and her family relocated from Los Angeles to St Ives. Joining SIPS midway through the year was very challenging and provided impetus for Kristen to get involved in the school more actively. The wonderful spirit of community that the P&C have been building proved infectious.

Kristen is a film & tv producer by day. At night she swims, is in a choir, studies (she is part-way into an MBA), and is the personal Uber service for her kids – Ryker in year 7 and Orly in year 5.

Shari Allinson, Treasurer

My family started at SIPS in 2024. Two are now in high school and my youngest started kindy in 2026.  Having been involved with the P&C at my children’s old school, I wanted to continue being involved and help out, where possible.  My background is in clinical research but am currently a stay at home mum doing some bookkeeping on the side.  I am also in the process of completing a Cert IV in accounting and bookkeeping so taking on the treasurer role will be a great way to utilise these new skills and contribute to the school community

Mariza Gordon, Vice President

I’ve been part of the SIPS community since 2023, and my twins are now in Year 3. I joined the P&C because I love being involved, meeting wonderful people, and helping create a strong, supportive community. I believe in making school a place where kids feel happy, included, and excited to learn. Plus, I want to be part of the fun—helping to create memories that our kids will cherish forever! Whether it’s lending a hand, sharing a laugh, or working on new ideas, I’m here to make a difference!

Elle Gozzett, Vice President

I’ve been part of the St Ives Public School community since my eldest daughter started in Kindergarten, and now have three daughters at the school in Year 1, Year 3, and Year 6. I’m a Chartered Accountant and, like many Aussies, took the well-worn path to London, where I lived and worked for a decade. It’s also where I met my husband and we welcomed our first daughter, Erin. We moved to St Ives 10 years ago and have loved being part of this community ever since. Currently on a career break, I saw joining the P&C as a great opportunity to get more involved with the school and contribute in a meaningful way. I’m looking forward to learning more about how the school operates behind the scenes, supporting initiatives that benefit the whole community, and using my skills in finance, governance, and project delivery to help out where I can. I’m also excited to make new friends and learn a few new skills along the way.
